The way we work:
1. We come to
your home. No behaviorist should work strictly out of their office.
It is imperative that we see the animal in his or her natural surroundings, and
observe the animal interaction with you and the rest of the family including the
other animals in your household.
2. We interview
you and your family first. Then we work
with your animal, and you, and the rest of the family. Typically a call lasts
between 2-4 hours. We will teach you what we know in order to correct the
problem(s) you are having. We will teach you in home obedience so you can do it
yourselves; show you how to do animal
massage and relaxation techniques, and perform Reiki if asked.
3. We write up
with you a schedule that fits your and your family's needs, and a simple
treatment plan.
4. We request
that you call us within a week following the visit. Positive changes are usually immediate, but we liken most companion animals to adolescent
humans. There will, sometimes, within the first one or two weeks, be a temporary
backslide, as rules are now being changed for the animal. Sometimes a new
problem will appear, albeit for a short amount of time, and it is easily fixed,
but only if we know about it, and can help you work through it! If we have to
come out again, it is free.

EXOTICS
There is so much to list here and depends on the
facility you have. We have worked with nearly all types of exotic animals, and
are familiar with many types of enrichment practices so please just contact us
with your problem. The fee charged depends on your location and the animal(s)
involved. We will do our absolute best to work within your budget.
